Nationalism
Nationalism, for me, is being true to "one's nation".
But the expanse of one's nation is decided by every person individually.
And it depends upon the extent of one's knowledge and compassion.
Nation for the conservatives is confined within the imaginary lines around their biases.
It could be their family, village, state, country, caste, religion or their "selfish interests".
For a humanist the whole world is his nation.
And for a person with scientific temper it is the universe.
मेरे लिए देशप्रेम का अर्थ है, "अपने देश" के प्रति सच्ची निष्ठा रखना।
पर हर व्यक्ति अपने देश की सीमा स्वयं तय करता है।
और हरेक के देश का विस्तार क्षेत्र उसके ज्ञान और सहृदयता की सीमा पर निर्भर करता है।
संकीर्ण मानसिकता वाले व्यक्ति का देश उसके पूर्वाग्रहों के चारों ओर खिंची काल्पनिक लकीरों में सीमित होता है।
ये परिवार, गाँव, प्रदेश, राष्ट्र, भाषा, जाति, धर्म या फिर "उसका स्वार्थ" कुछ भी हो सकता है।
मानवतावादी केलिए पूरा विश्व उसका देश होता है।
और वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण वाले व्यक्ति केलिए पूरा ब्रह्माण्ड।
